Save to 7 tips How to go green

At the time the world faces increasing global warming, such as the greenhouse effect more damaging to the spread of the atmosphere, more and more wondering how to go green and make it profitable as well. The good news is that it is very easy to do. In fact, done properly, it's hard not to save money while helping the planet recover. So, here's how to go green (and save) in 7 simple tips.

1. Reduce winter heating by at least one degree. If you can stand two or three degrees lower, the better. You'll use less energy and still feel comfortable. Then, in summer, let the cold air-conditioning at home 'a little less. It's a good start on how to go green.

2. Set the washing machine to wash clothes in cold water. Modern cleaning powders do not need heating and hot water which consumes more energy than you use a washing machine.

3. Do not use a dryer to dry your clothes! This is not the way to go green. Using too much energy and too expensive. Hanging clothes. Air drying clothes a lot less - my grandmother would say that.

4. Compact fluorescent (CFL) uses 10% of the energy required by a standard light bulb and lasts 10 times longer. Thus, changing a light bulb. And if you want to know how to go green in a big way with the lights, see the new LED lights. They can be two times more efficient CFLs.

5. Use a little water. Check all faucets for leaks and fix any you find. Short shower, do not swim and consider getting a new toilet cistern that will use less than two liters of water per color. Standard cistern use some three and a half liters. Using less water uses less energy and save money!

6. Walk rather than drive for very short trips. Use a bicycle for moderate trips, and if you actually use the car. Gasoline is expensive and pollutes the atmosphere. Save on burning and you will save your money and help the environment.

7. When you are driving, keep the speed around 55 mph, if possible. Your machine will run most efficiently at that speed burning the minimum amount of gas. Practice driving smoothly as well. Do not accelerate quickly from a standstill and not braking. This is the way to go green with your car, but with public transport, walking and cycling is even better.
